The Global All-Time All-Stars are a collection of 50 teams, of 25 players each, designed in the traditional SIBB manner. Nearly every professional baseball team is represented, from 1876 to 2012, including Japanese teams, Negro Leagues, and now long-defunct 19th century teams ~ any teams for whom player statistics could be found. Each team is a full-color chart, with 15 position players on one side, and 10 pitchers (and their batting charts) on the other side.

Click here for a complete list of all 50 teams:

Quick look at 2 examples: Old-time Pirates Batters and Orioles pitchers.

Wondering why 50 teams? Are players normalized? Will it be available for SIBB computer player? For all of that, and a few more, please look over the FAQs: read the FAQs.

Optional Rules & Era Charts

There are some new optional rules ("jump" rating for stealing; injury modifiers), as well as some established favorites (anti-BB ratings for batters, thank you Randy Cox!) But the biggest innovation that I hope GATAS contributes are the Era Charts. Now you can play your game in any of these settings: pre-1876, late 19th Century (1876-1900), Deadball (1900-1919), Roaring 20s (1920-1941), Pitcher's Era (1963-1972), Hitter's Era (1993-2004), Japanese Era (1950-1971), and even Negro League Style.

How is this accomplished? Easy: start with defensive charts customized to the era:

Then add in a power chart (not shown) ~ with a few wrinkles for fun ~ along with customized pitcher's rest needed charts:

I hope you'll find this a fun addition, and increase your enjoyment of SIBB baseball. Please feel free to email me, Dave LeLacheur with any questions, comments, or arguments for players who should have been on your favorite team. I've been remaking SI baseball charts ever since discovering a 1-2-3 spreadsheet in 1994, and welcome the debate.
